By it deteriorate from my illness ther become probably only to a limited number flights partipated in 2008.
I am still in the ban to drive car or bike.
I will reduce in the futur also drastically lessen with to keep pigeons
even in the breeding as in the racing loft.

For the breeding pairs I’ll keep it easy, the most of them the are living in separated boxes and are never coming together
with other birds so they don’t need medicines. I couple them 1-2 December and keep the two first rounds for racing in my
own loft every year.
The food for the breeders is simple: they make a mix without corn and with much different peas. In Belgium we call this
‘Luikse Mengeling’. In my opinion it makes the young ones stronger.
The first round I will have them racing separated from half of may until the end of august, for the males and end of
September for the females.
I will raise the youngsters of second round natural ,the food for the youngsters is easy: I make a mix from half breeding
beyers premium and half vandenabeele beyers premium,in the evening the young ones eat as many as they can every evening
and the next morning, they eat half of what they ate last evening, they always eat after training.
When they are 6-8 weeks old they have a vaccination for paramixo and two weeks before the first training a treatment for
tricomonaise for 5 days when I am thinking it’s necessary also one for the head for 5 days, the training by car
is 5 km ,15 km , and two times 35 km.
After that they go to 70km with the club and then the first race in the club of 111 km and than every week to all different
distances, the next treatment mostly comes after two worse results, never after one because I’m not in panic that easy and
I have trust in the pigeons.
You can see it in the eyes and on the little feathers directly behind the nose when they stand up that something is wrong.
The widowhood cocks.
After the race season 2007 half September the young cocks came in the widow hood loft by the old cocks and are coupled
together,after one week they are two hours in freedom with open widows after 10 days eggs all the birds are separated and
living then all of the time in the loft, in the day with open windows but after wire, is for my better than in the
open voliere, in the evening I close the windows and they are inside by night .
January 15th the hens come back in the loft and than they come back outside for one hour every day, but they have
no babies after 14 days eggs I separated against that time they become a food mix: moulting beyers premium,
so from half September until I’ve taken the eggs,after the eggs they become for tree weeks alone barley and not so much, that is for
becoming less condition and they stay inside the loft again and when they have eggs they have the vaccination for paramixo,
and also when I am think it’s necessary a treatment to paratyphoid, the treatment takes 5-6 days .And after the cure with
barley they become again the mix vandenabeele beyers permium. Just enough.
Half March I start with the training at home every day for half an hour it is enough in the begin and they have
a treatment for trichomonaise for 5 days.
After the first training by car, I start with my different food. When the weather is good in the beginning of April
I bring the hens in the loft for one week, and I start the day after the training by car. That is very good the cocks coming directly
to home and coming fast inside the loft. They remember that for the whole year, when they have eggs again, the cocks are
back nest birds and that is not so good, so before the race season, I do it that way it’s all over in one week,
starting with 5 km, 15 km, 30 km and then they go for 70 km with the club and Sunday 111 km.
In the evening after the 111km, I separate them and all the work is over in one week.
After the race they directly become a breeding mix beyers premium, also in the evening and the next morning.
Then I start with the mix: vandenabeele beyers premium. Just enough in the morning and in the evening, the last two days
before basket ting mix: widowhood beyers premium and the day from basket ting they get again the mix vandenabeele beyers
premium.
After the training in the morning and in the evening, I always give them a little bit hempseed or peeled sun flowers.
I use not so much medicines in the race season, also when I have a bad result: no panic is a golden rule, but after
two bad races then you have to do something. Most of the time is a 2-3 days treatment for trichomanaise enough, but when
the very small feathers behind the nose stand up, you need a medicine for the head, but it is antibiotic, and that is
the most of the time a treatment of 5 days. But when I am thinking that there is a bigger problem is.I immediately go to
the veterinarian.
For the motivation of the widowhoods, I see from day to day what is good.
I don’t do that much because most of the time is everything what you do not so good. When the health and the quality of
the pigeons is good, the results will follow.
For the rest I am not that crazy about vitamins and food supplement or tea. I did it many years but the last few years
not anymore. And I see no different at the birds or the results. It only makes me less poor. What I am doing is making a
mix of the red vita mineral beer leaven, shells and small seeds for small birds. I mix it by myself and I give it to
them 3-4 times a week.
The best way is keeping it simple for yourself and for the birds, and you are a happy fancier.
I hope I can do all of this on my own loft. I lost my health and I know now what the most important thing is in my life:
pigeons or your health.

The good weather of April was gone and than start for many weeks precarious windy weather with many rain and strong

pigeons are not so happy with that fast races.

for us it is the provincial race of Heidelberg 343 km,but not with the succes that we hope.The race was a catastrophe,beauty
warm weather wind south-south west in the young bird race was the diffrend of the first prise and the last 8 hours,
and bij the old birds a diffrent of 3 hours the most of the fanciers lost a lot of good pigeons.
I was happy that my best old widowhood cocks and favourite young cocks are not in the race and so long the border of France
is closed they are staying at home,the races for 2007 will be finished than.
